The Core Expert® on CBS LA: How To Have A Healthy And Happy Holiday Season
I recently joined KCAL CBS Los Angeles to share some ways for us all to have a happy and healthy holiday season. We discussed:
Movement is medicine: Create fun, accessible ways to stay active—post-meal walks, group activities, or anything that boosts metabolism, mood, and collective energy. Too cold outside? Have a dance party!
Support your mental well-being: Movement and healthy habits help lower stress hormones and raise the happiness hormones that nurture your body, mind, heart, and spirit.
Listen to your body: It will always tell you what it needs—fullness cues, hunger cues, movement cues. Slow down and honor them.
Eat before you go: Instead of skipping meals before gatherings, try having a small, satisfying snack beforehand
Indulge intentionally: The holidays are meant to be enjoyed. Treat yourself with awareness, moderation, and self-kindness—not rigid restriction or guilt.
Stay connected: I’m here to support you through the season. For more tools and wellness guidance, sign up for my newsletter on my homepage, or by emailing info@jessicaschatz.com.

Wishing you a holiday season filled with joy, intention, movement, nourishment, and connection.
